- 03Yes. Elemental Health is an LGBTQ+ affirming therapy practice, and care is approached with cultural humility, respect, and inclusivity.
- 04Therapy at Elemental Health is collaborative, paced, and grounded in safety and consent. Depending on your needs, sessions may include: EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Somatic Experiencing®–informed therapy (SE-in-training) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills Emotion-focused and attachment-based therapy Parts-informed approaches Mindfulness and nervous system regulation Ethically grounded, spiritual or meaning-based practices may be integrated only when clinically appropriate and culturally relevant and always with client consent.
- 05Spiritually-integrative therapy is an approach that respects and makes room for a client’s values, meaning-making, and sense of connection—without imposing beliefs or religious frameworks. At Elemental Health, spiritually-integrative work may include exploring purpose, values, intuition, symbolism, or personal rituals only when it is clinically appropriate and with your consent. This approach is always grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy, ethical practice, and nervous-system awareness. You do not need to be spiritual or religious to benefit from therapy here. Spiritual themes are never required and are always client-led.
- 06Yes. I provide trauma-focused therapy, including limited trauma intensives for clients who may benefit from extended, focused sessions. Clinical appropriateness and structure are determined during the course of therapy by the therapist.
- 07Yes. I provide couples therapy in North Charleston, SC, supporting partners in strengthening communication, emotional safety, attachment, and repair. Sessions may include somatic and emotion-focused interventions.
- 08Your first session is an intake appointment (60 minutes). We’ll review your concerns, relevant history, goals for therapy, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit. This session also helps guide next steps and treatment planning.
- 09Yes. Free 15-minute consultations for prospective new clients can be requested through the website contact form.
- 10No. Elemental Health does not accept insurance and is considered out-of-network. Payment is due at the time of service. Superbills are available upon request for clients who wish to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider.
- 11Yes. Telehealth therapy is available for clients located in South Carolina, in accordance with state licensing laws.
